Fun 20 Questions - Stay Well at Home List

Dear Friends, Sheltering at Home can be a real challenge. This is a Fun List of 20 Wellness Questions to help us to continue to grow and develop even during this necessary time, often alone, at home. I find these ideas and questions really helpful. The list was put together from various sources by a friend and respected colleague. Now, with permission, I am pleased to share these Fun, Easy, Entertaining and Evocative questions with you.


  1. What is one thing you’ve done about maintaining a routine for yourself?

  2. Did you recognize feelings of Loneliness, Sadness, Loss, Grief? What did you do about them?

  3. Did you feel a moment of happiness, even if it was fleeting and temporary? What was it about?

  4. Did you use your Anchors of Normality? [These are a few things you used to do by habit on a regular day or week in your usual life.]

  5. What coping style did you use? [Problem solving vs Avoidance. Expressing emotions vs Denial. Sharing vs Isolation.]

  6. Did you make use of social resources? [Reaching Out vs Isolating]

  7. How did you maintain closeness with others? [Try talking to at least three other people every day. Maybe twice a day. Maybe more. Stay connected.]

  8. Did you utilize any form of meditation? [ Deep Breathing, Conscious Walking, Centering, Calm Reading ]

  9. Did you practice Self-forgiveness vs self-pity? [ Were you instead perhaps Feeling Guilty, Complaining or Blaming?]

  10. Did you try making a To Do List? [Was it helpful? Try to organize your time.]

  11. Did you consciously set limits on news and social media exposure? [Very good idea. Don't become a Media Head.]

  12. Did you get in any movement time? [Taking a Walk, Yoga Stretching, Moving About, Even Dancing, Shake your ... shake it again.]

  13. Did you notice how you prepare for nighttime sleep? Try to follow a two-hour minimum buffer before bedtime. [No big meals. No big work outs. Limit screen time.]

  14. Did you consciously do something for others? [Call someone who may be lonely. Offer to help. Contribute some small thing to another.]

  15. Did you pick up an old hobby or maybe think about taking up a new one? [Have fun. Take It Easy.]

  16. Have you been paying attention to your breathing? [Am I breathing? Relax. Breathe. You Are Alive.]

  17. Did you try take a bit more control over your home environment by tidying up Did you perhaps consider tackling an even bigger project? [How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.]

  18. Was there anything that made you laugh out loud? [Did you ever laugh at yourself? Do you know how funny you are?]

  19. Did you consciously choose to listen to music over other forms of auditory stimulation? What did you listen to? [Thanks for the Memories]

  20. What are you grateful for? What are you proud of? What do you feel really good about? How many Miracles did you notice today? [Make a Gratitude List. Do it daily. At least weekly. Even once would be a nice beginning.]
